Pastor Phillip Blackwell is a 2003 graduate of Trinity Baptist Bible College in Arlington, TX, which is under the auspices of the Trinity Baptist Church formerly pastored by Dr. Bob W. Smith.  Before coming to Bible Baptist Church, he was the pastor of the Salem Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH for over twelve years.

He has also been married to his high school sweetheart, Jamie, since 1998, and they have three children.
